MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent; AND
  • Two (2) years of professional, full‑time‑equivalent experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic equipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs inspections, tests, diagnoses, installs, repairs, replaces, services, modifies, alters, and supports range operation for automated ranges, target systems, and related IT, sound effects, and battlefield effects simulator components.

Inspect, test, and diagnose automated ranges, target, and safety issues.

  • Includes motors, drive gear, switches, sensors, wiring harness, brackets, relays, circuit cards, rectifiers, transformers, modems, radios, batteries, computer program, network switch, surge suppressors, and silhouettes. Report safety issues to supervisor.

Remove and transport, install, replace parts, or service automated ranges, temporary range setups, target, SES, or BES equipment.

  • Includes motors, drive gear, switches, sensors, wiring harness, brackets, batteries, relays, circuit cards, rectifiers, transformers, modems, radios, batteries, computer program, network switch, surge suppressors, power connectors and cables, signal connectors and cables, gas regulators and lines, target, SES and BES layout, target protection, and silhouettes. Also covers bullet holes in target boxes and target protection covers.

Modify or upgrade automated ranges, target, SES, or BES equipment.

  • Includes motors, drive gear, switches, sensors, wiring harness, brackets, relays, circuit cards, rectifiers, modems, radios, batteries, computer program, network switch, surge suppressors, power connectors and cables, signal connectors and cables, gas regulators and lines, target, SES and BES layout, and silhouettes.
  • Respond to range support calls to quickly diagnose and correct faults, repairing or replacing components to limit downtime.

Operate a variety of testing equipment and tools, including electronic, electrical, and signal testing equipment, hand and power tools, forklifts, soldering, and brazing, with proper safety equipment for each task.

Ensure materials used are documented and work orders are completed in a timely manner.

Perform automated tower support operations, including startup, operation, and clearing of malfunction procedures.

Travel to various locations to support automated range support for the FL RTLP Program in direct support of FLNG units.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Knowledge of procedures, techniques, equipment, and tools used in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic equipment.
  • Knowledge of electronic equipment components and design requirements.
  • Skill in using specialized tools and equipment to install, maintain, and repair electronic equipment.
