Courier​/Swing Drvr​/DOT

Responsibilities

Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages; checks shipments for conformance to Fed Ex service features; provides coverage for assigned routes within the station's service area; performs related customer service functions; performs other duties as assigned.

Variable schedules will include AM and PM shifts. Scheduled work week is Tuesday through Saturday but will include absence coverage and any day deemed an operational necessity.

High school diploma or GED.

Six months of courier experience preferred. Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge.

• Ability to lift and maneuver packages up to 50 lbs with appropriate equipment.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred.
• Adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak English to understand traffic signs and communicate with traffic safety officials, and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

• Neat appearance required due to customer contact.
• Must meet and maintain qualifications per federal motor carrier safety regulations.
• Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license per state requirements for vehicle type and have a good driving record.
• Non‑covered safety‑sensitive position.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
