Senior Project Manager – Industrial Construction
Location:
St. Louis, Missouri. Salary range: $125,000 to $180,000 per year.
ACME Constructors is a 100% employee‑owned, self‑performing construction firm with locations in St. Louis, Columbia and Cape Girardeau, Missouri. The company manages more than 700 projects per year, including industrial, manufacturing, and food & beverage projects, with budgets up to $30 million.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage complex industrial, manufacturing, and food & beverage projects across the St. Louis region and Midwest.
- Conduct project planning, estimation, preconstruction, and execution for projects ranging from $5 million to $10 million, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, quality, safety and compliance.
- Lead weekly project progress meetings covering safety, scheduling, material availability, submittals, changes, delays, legal and risk‑management issues.
- Approve vendor invoices, timesheets and maintain labor/material data for project control and analysis.
- Make strategic decisions on cost, scope, quality, safety and scheduling and visit client job sites to verify compliance and staffing.
- Build trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, communicating transparently and resolving issues proactively.
- Represent ACME in ethical and professional manner to expand region market and referral base.
- At least 5–10 years of progressive project‑management experience in self‑perform construction.
- Experience managing projects $5 million to $10 million in size.
- Strong project and people‑management skills, including safety and compliance oversight.
- Proficiency in project‑management software and ERP systems such as Procore.
- Four‑year degree or related field experience in industrial construction project management.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with ability to find creative, cost‑effective solutions and flex between strategic and tactical priorities.
- Competitive total cash compensation ranging from $145,000 to $155,000 in year one, with potential to scale to $187,500 and beyond.
