Position: Assistant Professor – Chemistry & Physics (Forensic Chemistry)

Start Date: August 1, 2026
Salary: Depends on qualifications

Position Overview- Teach forensic chemistry and other chemistry courses at both introductory and advanced levels.
- Support the forensic chemistry program through curriculum development, advising, internships, and career development.
- Build a research program involving undergraduate students.
- Participate in departmental, college, and university service, including committees, public outreach, student recruitment, and retention.
- Contribute to innovative curriculum delivery using traditional, blended, and online formats.
- Ph.D. in Forensic Chemistry or related chemistry field (Analytical, Biochemistry, Organic, etc.) by August 2026.
- Demonstrated potential for undergraduate research mentorship.
- Experience teaching at college/university level.
- Leadership potential in forensic chemistry programs.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and collegiality skills.
- Commitment to student success within the teacher-scholar model.
- Letter of interest addressing experience and qualifications.
- Curriculum vitae (CV)
- Statement of teaching philosophy and experience.
