Lead Certified Sterile Processing Tech

Leads all sterile processing techs in day-to-day functions of SPD. Responsibilities include assembling, wrapping, packaging, and sterilization of all reusable items in the Medical Center. Ensures timely preparation of all case carts for Surgery and maintains standards for AAMI/CMS to ensure patient safety. Works to improve processes and throughput under the direction of the Sterile Processing Manager and Surgical Services Director.

• Education: High School Diploma - Required
• Certification & Licensures: CRCST or CSPD certified - required
• Experience: Minimum 2 years as a sterile processing tech or surgical tech - required; competent in all areas of SPD as determined by manager/director - required
