RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on the 5H Surgical Unit

• 36 guaranteed hours per week

• Every other weekend requirement with block scheduling accommodated when possible

• No call requirements

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required

• BLS certification required

• Flu vaccination required from November 1 - April 1 (exemptions must be client approved)

• Float requirements include customary Med Surg and Progressive units

• Care for post-surgical patients including urology, orthopedic, and general surgery cases with medical overflow

• Patient ratio of 1:6 on a 23-bed unit

• Work with customary equipment including IV pumps and EPIC EMR system

• Must be willing to learn and take on charge responsibilities

• Post-surgical experience required (not OR) with post-recovery experience

• Preferred experience with Peri Dialysis

• Black scrubs required

• Team player with good communication skills essential

• Contract duration of 13 weeks (up to 26 weeks upon request)

• Up to 5 days time off automatically approved per 13-week period

• Expected to work at least one major summer or winter holiday
