RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work day shift with 36 weekly guaranteed hours

• Weekend hours as needed on rotating basis

• No call requirements

• Patient ratio typically 1:2, may vary during shift based on needs

• Must have 1+ years of experience

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS

• Must have cardiac/open heart and CABG experience

• Float to ICU and progressive units as needed

• Work with specialized equipment including CRRT machine, Abbott Balloon pump, External Vent Drain, Impella, and Prisma Flex

• Use EPIC electronic medical record system

• Care for heart surgery and neuro patients (stroke, brain surgery)

• Dress code requires black scrubs

• Flu vaccination required from November 1-April 1 with exemptions requiring client approval

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care including developing nursing diagnoses, establishing care objectives, and providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families

Facility:

This 245-bed Level 3 Emergency and Trauma Center features a 14-bed Cardiothoracic ICU unit that will expand to 26 beds with a new unit opening. The facility holds multiple prestigious certifications including Comprehensive Cardiac Center Certification from The Joint Commission, Primary Stroke Center Certification with Gold Seal of Approval, Missouri Level II Stroke Center designation, and Missouri Level I STEMI Center designation.

The facility was awarded a B Grade in Spring 2025 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade and maintains high standards for cardiac and neurological care.
