The PCU (Progressive Care Unit) nurse, sometimes called step‑down nurse, provides care at the level between general and ICU. Duties include monitoring and evaluating patients requiring advanced care but no ICU level, stabilizing vital signs, administering medications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
Travel Bonus: $600.
Day 1 health insurance: United Healthcare.
PTO: accrues day 1; use during contract or cash out.
Guaranteed stipend: if facility cancels.
Extra hour bonus: additional hourly bonus for hours over contracted schedule.
