Maintenance Custodian Associate

Maintenance Custodian Associate – Sam's Club, Cape Girardeau, MO.

$16.00/hr – $23.00/hr

• Maintains safety of the facility by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting procedures, handling hazardous materials, and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Cleans all areas of the facility (floors, windows, restrooms, trash receptacles) using approved chemicals, supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Responds to spills and operates floor scrubbers, disposing of cardboard, plastic, and trash in accordance with the Environmental Sustainability Program.
• Maintains appropriate levels of company‑approved chemicals and supplies, rotates supplies, stores them properly, and places orders when supplies are low.
• Ensures a safe and clean environment for members and associates by performing maintenance as necessary.
• Works an entire shift on feet in physically demanding environments and adapts quickly to changing work scenarios.

• Minimum age 18 years.
• Ability to work on your feet all shift.
• Experience with cleaning tasks or ability to learn quickly.
• Safe, positive attitude and willingness to maintain member satisfaction.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Previous experience in a custodial or maintenance role.
• Experience with forklifts or heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of chemical handling and safety procedures.
