Position

TNAA Total Med RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

• Provide bedside care for pre‑ and post‑operative patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication and report adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and aid physicians during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plans as prescribed.
• Conduct patient assessments, prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate needs, perform ongoing assessments, and treat as ordered by physicians.
• Document patient findings and provide education and support to families.

Ability to stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean and stoop without difficulty; lift up to 20 lbs easily and up to 50 lbs at times.

• BLS certification.
• 1 year recent acute care experience.
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.
