Position Details:
Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO. Obstetrics Department. Part-time – 8 hours per week. Shift: TBD.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of licensed prescribers or a Registered Professional Nurse.
• Maintain professional accountability for the provision of patient care for assigned patients.
• Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.

Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program. Consideration will be given for comparable education, experience, and successful licensure.

Licensure: Personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current LPN license in the state where nursing duties are performed. Must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.

Certifications:

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
• S.T.A.B.L.E. (Six Assessment & Care Modules)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
• LPN‑IV Certification must be previously completed or successfully completed within 3 months of hire.
• Other unit-specific certifications as required.
