Temporary Pool Nurse - RN

Position Overview

Utilizes the Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model and nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient’s care in conjunction with other departments. Functions within the scope of nursing practice and consistent with established guidelines, the goals of Mercy Health System, the Philosophy of the Sisters of Mercy, the State Nurse Practice Act, the Code of Professional and Business Ethics, and the Co‑Worker Code of Conduct.

Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

• Facility Float Pool RN – Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO
• Status:
  Full‑Time – 36 hours per week
• Shift: Days (0700‑1930)

• At least 1 year of nursing experience in acute care, preferred.
• Graduate of a state approved professional nurse program.

• Personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license within the hiring state (or compact) and meeting all state board of nursing requirements.
• Other unit‑specific certifications as required.

Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.

• Up to $10,000 sign‑on bonus.
• No contract required.
