Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of a physician or a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Maintains professional accountability for patient care for assigned patients and coordinates care in conjunction with other departments.

• Education:
  
  Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; consideration given for comparable education, experience, and licensure.
• Licensure:
  Must obtain and maintain a current LPN license in the hiring state; meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.
• Experience:
  
  New or experienced LPN.
• Certifications:
  
  Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
• Additional certifications may be required: ACLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., Six Assessment & Care Modules, or other unit‑specific certifications within the required timeframe.
• Physical Requirements:
  
  Stand/Walk most of the time; significant bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance; push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds.

  IV certification within 1 year of hire.

  Physical Requirements:
  
  Requires pushing, pulling, and lifting 50 pounds regularly; prolonged standing and walking; ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat.
