Overview
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Full‑Time - 36 hours/week - Shift: 12‑hour Days - Scheduled Weekends
- Incentives:
Up to $20,000 Sign‑On Bonus based on years of OR RN experience;
No Contract Required; ASN to BSN Bridging Program $16,000; BSN to MSN Bridging Program $16,000. - OR Details: includes general surgery, 2 DaVinci Xis, urology, plastics, gyn, orthopedic, neurosurgery and cardiothoracic surgery. Periop 101 through AORN offered for new registered nurses. Staff provides a comforting environment for patients undergoing a surgical procedure. Nurses train on equipment, proper positioning, prepping, and documentation. Opportunity to cross‑train or advance to scrub or First Assist.
- Experience:
At least 1 year of OR nursing experience required. - Education:
Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN). - Licensure:
Must hold and maintain a current RN license in the hiring state or compact; meet all state board of nursing requirements. - Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or within 30 days of hire; other unit specific certifications as required. - Physical Requirements:
Must push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis; prolonged standing and walking each shift; ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
