American Traveler is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology RN for a day-shift travel assignment requiring MO or compact RN license and ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications.
Details- Work in the Interventional Radiology department of a hospital with 269 beds, including 1 IR angiosuite and 5 IR holding area beds
- Care for patients undergoing invasive and non-invasive procedures in IR suite, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, and Diagnostic imaging
- 1-to-1 patient ratio in Imaging
- Uses Nihonkohden patient monitors
- EMR is Cerner, transitioning to Epic in October 2024
- Day shift, 5x8 schedule (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
- Weekend hours as needed
- On-call required on a rotating basis
- Floating required as needed
- Active MO or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications required
- ARNA certification preferred
- Minimum 1-2 years of recent experience in Interventional Radiology required
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- Critical care nursing skills and ability to perform well under pressure required
- No gaps in employment exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
- Provide direct patient care in the Imaging department, including monitoring vital signs, maintaining IV lines, and administering medications under physician direction
- Assist with various imaging procedures and maintain emergency equipment and crash cart supplies
- Act as liaison between the Imaging department and patient care division, ensuring proper documentation and communication of patient condition changes
- Surgical scrubs provided for procedure area; street clothes not acceptable
- Flu vaccination or Mercy-approved exemption required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1
- Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed, must be made up during the assignment
- Local candidates accepted, though local contract restrictions apply after 3 consecutive 13-week contracts within 50 miles of the facility
- First-time travelers may be considered
