Overview
We’re looking for a Fiber Splicer in Cape Girardeau, MO to support fiber optic splicing, testing, installation, and maintenance for residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.
This is a hands‑on field role for someone experienced with fusion splicing, OTDR testing, and real‑world troubleshooting in outdoor environments.
Responsibilities- Splicing, testing, and troubleshooting fiber optic cables
- Inspecting installations and repairing faults or deficiencies
- Using fusion splicers, OTDRs, and related test equipment
- Performing post‑splice testing to verify signal integrity
- Working with project managers and engineering teams
- Following safety standards and industry best practices
- Prior telecommunications or fiber experience
- Strong fiber optics knowledge and attention to detail
- Ability to read prints, schematics, and technical docs
- Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Flexibility with hours (including evenings/weekends as needed)
