Overview
Event and Intake Coordinator for the Autism Center for Diagnosis and Treatment at Southeast Missouri State University.

Cape Girardeau, MO. Department:
Autism Center. Full-Time position.
- Coordinate with local targeted case management service coordinators and families to assist families in accessing funding resources to cover autism treatments.
- Conduct intake appointments to identify needs and determine appropriate services (e.g., social skills groups, respite, summer camp).
- Develop, organize and lead engaging social, recreational, and therapeutic events/activities and respite services for children with autism and their families, including collaborating with community partners.
- Attend all events to support participants, foster engagement and ensure seamless event operations.
- Manage event setup and breakdown to maintain a welcoming and organized environment.
- Develop and provide caregiver training and social skills groups.
- Complete documentation and sign off on Individual Service Plans (ISPs) as appropriate.
- Submit utilization reports for service coordinators and the Department of Mental Health (DMH).
- Represent the center at meetings with outside organizations and community partners.
- Participate in team meetings, supervision, and contribute to a collaborative care environment.
- Bachelor's degree in clinical social work, counseling, or related behavioral health field.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and their families is a plus.
- Ability to establish collaborative partnerships within the University and among regional service providers including Department of Mental Health and targeted case management agencies.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Ability to work evening hours and weekends, as needed.
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service.
