Job Description

Macsteel Service Centres SA – Cape Town is currently recruiting BBBEE candidates for Admin learnerships. The Admin Learnership aims to develop practical administrative skills required to support and coordinate office operations. It provides structured training and workplace experience in areas such as information management, data capturing, record keeping and general office support, preparing learners for entry-level administrative roles in a professional environment.

External learners will receive a monthly stipend from the company and will be placed in the company (for the duration of the learnership) to apply the practical learning component. Intake is merit based and candidates who do not meet the stipulated criteria will not be considered. Candidates are requested to send their updated CV’s with the following documentation attached:

• Matric certificate / statement of results
• Proof of banking details (letter from the bank)
• Proof of tax registration (SARS letter)

• Grade 12 (matric)
• Minimum of 50% in English - Essential
• Minimum of 50% in Mathematics / 60% in Math Lit - essential
• Ability to communicate in English (read, write and speak) – Essential
• Age 18 – 28
• Availability and commitment to complete a full year (12 months) of training
• Must reside in Bellville, Cape Town or surrounding areas

• Accurate data capturing.
• Attend all theoretical training sessions and practical workplace training as scheduled.
• Actively participate in learning activities and complete assignments.
• Basic bookkeeping
• Complete all required workplace tasks.
• Computer literate, particularly in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
• General admin duties.
• Maintain a portfolio of evidence demonstrating competence.
• Scanning and filling documents according to company policy and procedures.
