Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing day-to-day operations across various business verticals within Takealot

    NOW, contributing to smooth and efficient trade operations.
  • Participate in the implementation and refinement of operational processes to boost trading efficiency on the Takealot

    NOW platform.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational processes, using data to inform and guide decisions.
  • Assist in the analysis of operational data to generate insights aimed at improving customer experience and operational workflows.
  • Support in collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify performance bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
  • Help manage and resolve payment transaction issues, contributing to a seamless customer transaction process.
  • Assist in the investigation of order discrepancies and compile reports on operational challenges and customer feedback.
  • Support the mentorship and development of junior operations team members, promoting a culture of growth and learning.
  • Proactively manage operational emergencies and system failures, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. This includes being prepared to address emergencies during business hours after 5pm and during weekends, ensuring round-the-clock operational resilience.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Engineering, Finance or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in operations, particularly in e-commerce, logistics, supply chain, or a related fast-paced industry.
  • Experience in using data analytics to inform operational decisions and improvements.
  • Proficiency in analysing performance metrics to provide insights on operational aspects.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel.
  • Knowledge of SQL or Python is advantageous.
