Position: Procurement (Buyer) & Logistics Co-ordinator

An established export company servicing the Angolan market is seeking an experienced Procurement (Buyer) & Logistics Co-ordinator to join their team in Sandown, Milnerton. Portuguese-speaking candidates will have a strong advantage. This role requires a hands‑on professional with strong supplier negotiation skills and proven logistics coordination experience within an export‑driven environment.

Starting ASAP.

Key Responsibilities Procurement
  • Vendor sourcing and supplier evaluation
  • Negotiating contracts and pricing
  • Cost analysis and cost reduction initiatives
  • Purchase order management
  • Market research and supplier performance monitoring
Logistics
  • Inventory management and warehouse coordination
  • Transportation planning and fleet coordination
  • Import/export documentation
  • Supply chain coordination
  • Managing international shipments and ensuring on‑time delivery
Professional Experience
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in procurement and/or logistics
  • Proven experience negotiating supplier contracts and discounts
  • Experience coordinating international shipments
  • Exposure to implementation of procurement and logistics systems
  • Experience in export environment essential (Angolan market highly advantageous)
Education
  • Relevant qualification (BSc Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics or similar)
Certifications (Advantageous)
  • CIPS / ISM / CSCMP / APICS (CSCP or CPIM)
Technical Skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel
  • Procurement and inventory management systems
  • ERP systems experience
Soft Skills
  • Strong negotiation and analytical ability
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills
Languages
  • Portuguese (advantageous)
  • English (essential)
