FIT Accounts & Commercial Manager

Manage key accounts and drive revenue growth for an FIT Wholesale team within the UK inbound travel sector.

Remote (South Africa), R30 000 - R37 000, Monday - Friday 09.30 to 18:00.

The client is an independent, family-owned UK inbound tour operator that has been in operation since 1988. They create bespoke B2B travel and event experiences across the UK and Ireland, providing tailored solutions for tours and programmes.

The Role:

FIT Accounts & Commercial Manager

This role exists to manage key accounts and drive revenue growth within the FIT Wholesale team by negotiating commercial terms and identifying performance trends. The position contributes to the business by supporting sustainable, profitable growth through the optimization of commercial results and distribution partnerships. The main focus areas include managing FIT and XML client portfolios, analyzing performance data, and collaborating cross-functionally with contracting, database, operations, and finance teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and grow assigned FIT and XML client portfolios while monitoring revenue and margin targets.
  • Lead commercial negotiations regarding terms, pricing agreements, and distribution arrangements with existing and new partners.
  • Analyze client performance data, including revenue, margin, and booking trends, to forecast and present actionable insights.
  • Coordinate and conduct quarterly business reviews and performance reviews with key accounts and distributors.
  • Collaborate with the contracting department to optimize hotel contracts and margin strategy.
  • Liaise with database and technical teams to monitor and escalate XML performance metrics.
  • Prepare regular commercial reports and insights for senior leadership and contribute to annual budgeting processes.
  • Represent the company at industry events and trade shows to seek opportunities for market expansion.

About You

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, including pivot table and vlookup functions, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret commercial data and performance metrics.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management capabilities.
  • Self-motivated and able to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
  • Understanding of basic XML performance metrics such as traffic, conversion, and error ratios is considered an advantage.
