Role: Motion Graphic Designer (12-month FTC, hybrid role – 3 days a week in studio)

Location: Cape Town, South Africa

About the role:

Join our dynamic team as a Motion Graphic Designer, working on major advertising campaigns for a leading fashion brand. Reporting to the Lead Editor, you will collaborate with global and regional teams to produce impactful, high-end content.

What you will do:

• Produce high volume campaigns across all moving image channels, ensuring language adaptations are accurately executed and local market requirements are addressed.
• Work with in-house automation tools to set up large volume campaigns for production.
• Utilise Adobe After Effects to build bespoke requests for local markets; maintain quality control and brand alignment.
• Attend daily stand-ups and receive briefs to establish daily production quota.
• Update Integrated Project Managers on production status, flag issues and risks where necessary.
• Adapt master files, and cropping/rendering to local market specifications.
• Champion automation and future‑facing ways of working.
• Demonstrate the ability to learn new software and programmes efficiently.
• Communicate clearly with project managers to ensure daily status updates are adhered to.
• Understand typography standards and ensure language adaptations are accurately executed.

What you need to be great in this role:

• 4+ years of relevant experience in motion production workflows, covering owned and bought media.
• Experience managing multiple campaigns, languages, and digital channels.
• Demonstrated production experience on global brands.
• Strong design skills and comprehensive understanding of Adobe After Effects, Media Encoder, Premiere Pro, and rendering/output settings.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Typography and language adaptation experience.
• Proficiency in forecasting, resource management and project burn rate.
• Keen eye for detail and quality control.
