We are a growing, international company operating in the marine and yacht-building industry, and we are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our Cape Town office.
This role is ideal for someone early in their career - a recent graduate or junior professional - with an interest in yachts, sailing, travel, design, technology and business. It is a full‑time, office‑based position with significant scope for learning, responsibility, travel and long‑term growth within the company.
About the RoleThis role is a unique opportunity to become an extension of VMG’s core international team, based full‑time in our Cape Town office. It is a varied and hands‑on role that combines office coordination, creative production and operational support.
You will play an important part in ensuring our Cape Town office is always client‑ready, while also contributing to visual content, marketing materials and digital presence.
As we are a global team, there is strong potential for travel as the role develops.
A key area of interest for this role is creative and digital capability, particularly in the use of 3D modelling, rendering and animation/video tools for marketing and development purposes. Prior experience in this area is not essential, but existing skills or a strong interest in learning and developing these capabilities would be a significant advantage, as this will become an increasingly important part of the role over time.
Similarly, experience with social media management and digital content is highly valued. Candidates with strong expertise in either creative/3D work or social media are encouraged to apply – strength in both is a bonus, but not a requirement. What matters most is curiosity, adaptability and a willingness to learn, evolve, and take on new challenges.
This is a broad, hands‑on position, and a genuine willingness to assist across multiple areas of the company, support different team members as needed, and take initiative will be essential to success.
Key Responsibilities Office & Operations- Ensure the Cape Town office is well maintained, organised and presentable at all times
- Prepare the office for client visits to the factory (snacks, drinks, fresh flowers, general presentation)
- Coordinate light office logistics and supplies
- Create and develop 3D models, renders, and animations/videos for internal development and marketing use
- Assist with maintaining and updating company social media channels
- Support marketing and presentation materials as required
- Assist with preparations for client trips and factory visits (details vary per visit)
- Work closely with management during client visits
- Support internal projects across departments as needed
We are more interested in potential, attitude, work ethic and adaptability then a perfect CV. That said, the ideal candidate may have:
- A recent university qualification or relevant training
- An interest in the marine industry, sailing, yachts, or travel
- Experience with or interest in 3D modelling and rendering software (Blender, Rhino, Fusion, Key Shot, etc.)
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital content
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confidence working independently and taking initiative
- Good communication skills
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to Cape Town
- Must have a valid driver’s licence and own transportation (office is slightly out of town)
- Must be comfortable working in an office-based role
- A role with real responsibility and visibility within a global company
- Significant room for growth as the company and role evolve
- Exposure to the international yacht‑building industry
- A newly developed, beautiful office environment
- The opportunity to build a unique skill set across operations, design and marketing
If this sounds like a good fit and you’re excited by the idea of working at the intersection of yachts, design, travel, and business, we’d love to hear from you.
Please submit your CV along with a brief note outlining your interest in the role and why you feel you would be a good fit for VMG.
If you have a portfolio of 3D, visual, or creative work, please include it. We also welcome examples or references to social media accounts, campaigns, or platforms you have managed or contributed to, where relevant.
