Job Purpose

The Finance Manager is accountable for assisting the Company Head in strategic decision‑making by providing financial analysis, evaluating new opportunities, and establishing targeted returns. This individual will manage the organization’s financial and legal governance, oversee financial reporting and accounting functions, and ensure sustainable financial performance.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification essential.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a senior financial management or leadership role.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, strategic planning, and business performance management.
  • Prior exposure to or experience within the Networking or Technology sector will be advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of financial systems, governance, and compliance frameworks.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, and forecasting.
Key Duties and Responsibilities Strategic and Financial Leadership
  • Partner with the Company Head to assess financial viability of business opportunities and guide strategic decisions.
  • Integrate finance with business operations through proactive communication and cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Provide financial insights to support value creation, cost optimization, and profitability improvement.
  • Develop and communicate strategic business plans aligned to company objectives.
  • Analyse business performance, cost structures, and pricing models to inform management decisions.
Financial Management and Reporting
  • Lead and oversee daily operations of the finance department.
  • Prepare and interpret financial reports, recommending actionable steps for business improvement.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure 1‑grid’s financial health.
  • Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and long‑term financial plans.
  • Prepare management accounts, financial statements, and tax returns.
  • Oversee monthly payroll approvals and expenditure control.
Governance, Compliance, and Audit
  • Ensure full compliance with financial, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with external auditors to maintain transparency and accountability in financial reporting.
  • Prepare financial systems and documentation for annual audits.
  • Oversee internal controls, risk management processes, and intercompany transactions.
  • Manage and advise on commercial contracts, compliance matters, and financial risk exposure.
Business Analysis and Value Creation
  • Conduct in‑depth financial analysis to drive strategic decision‑making.
  • Identify and implement initiatives to improve product cost efficiency and operational margins.
  • Track and report business profitability on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Advise on investment strategies and capital allocation to maximize returns.
  • Support business negotiations and strategic partnerships through financial modeling and due diligence.
