Nazareth Care is seeking an experienced, values-driven Chief Financial Officer to provide strategic financial leadership across Nazareth Care African Region, Nazareth House, Victoire Larmenier Foundation, Nazareth House Foundation Trust, and Nazareth House Harare.
This is a senior executive role requiring financial stewardship, strong governance discipline, commercial insight, and deep alignment with the mission and values of the Congregation of the Sisters of Nazareth.
The CFO will be responsible for leading financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audit readiness, statutory compliance, donor fund accounting, treasury and investment oversight, CAPEX planning, internal financial controls, and financial risk management across multiple entities. The role also includes key responsibility for Life Right financial modelling and financial governance within the Victoire Larmenier Foundation.
We are looking for a finance leader who is not only technically strong, but also able to support long-term sustainability, transparent reporting, Board-level decision-making, and mission-aligned growth.
Key Responsibilities- Financial leadership and governance across Nazareth Care, VLF, NHFT and Harare
- Annual budgeting, forecasting and financial consolidation
- Board, Trustee and stakeholder reporting
- Audit, SARS, PBO/NPO and statutory compliance
- Treasury, investment and cash flow management
- Donor fund accounting and restricted income reporting
- Life Right revenue and refund reserve modelling
- CAPEX oversight and project financial planning
- Financial policy alignment across entities
- Finance team leadership and development
- Risk management, financial controls and systems improvement
- A recognised finance qualification, preferably CA(SA), CIMA or equivalent
- Senior financial leadership experience, ideally in a multi-entity environment
- Strong governance, audit, compliance and reporting capability
- Experience working with Boards, Trustees, auditors and financial institutions
- Commercial judgement with a strong ethical foundation
- Ability to lead teams, improve systems and support organisational sustainability
- A commitment to compassionate, mission-driven service
This role is suited to a CFO who can balance financial discipline, strategic insight, operational support and stewardship of a long-standing care mission.
