Position: Financial Accountant – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Create a plan to deliver and review financial policies, guidelines, and protocols
Develop and/or deliver a plan for significant aspects of the financial management and/or control process
Support the implementation of financial systems process changes and enhancements
Preparation and submission of the monthly VAT returns as well as ensuring tax workings and returns are in line with Group Tax and statutory requirements
Conduct research using primary data sources, and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends
Communicate the local action plan; explain how this relates to the function's strategy and action plan

Requirements

Bachelor’s or BCOM degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
5+ years’ experience in Financial Accountant roles
Experience working in Financial Services Industry (Banking & Insurance)
Knowledge of Oracle Fusion and Hyperion Financial Management systems advantageous
Strong Analytical and Investigative skills
Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Word & Power Point
High attention to detail
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Collaborative and team-oriented mindset
