Financial Modeller

We are looking for a commercially minded Financial Modelling (Senior Associate level) professional with strong technical modelling capabilities and an interest in corporate finance transactions for our South African team based in Cape Town, South Africa.

• Develop and maintain integrated financial models across a range of disciplines, including M&A, debt and equity fundraising, valuations, and bespoke client requirements.
• Build models (cash flow, operational and decision-support models) using financial modelling best practices.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams across M&A, Debt Advisory, Transaction Services and Valuations on client engagements.
• Analyze and manipulate complex datasets, leveraging tools such as Power BI, Alteryx or equivalent to deliver meaningful insights.
• Build strong relationships with clients and contribute to the delivery of high‑quality, commercially focused advice.

• Demonstrated experience building integrated financial models for corporate finance and transaction‑related projects.
• Strong understanding of debt and equity financing structures, valuations and M&A principles.
• Experience working across multiple jurisdictions and complex corporate structures is preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel with exposure to data analytics tools such as Power BI, Alteryx or similar.
• CFA, CA(SA) or ACCA qualification (or equivalent professional qualification) preferred.
• Strong commercial acumen, attention to detail and ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly.
