Job Summary

The role will require the candidate to be responsible for the reconciliation of various client stock & cash recon portfolios. The candidate will be responsible for the daily, monthly, and quarterly reconciliation of investment funds, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records. This position requires an individual with strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of financial processes, and a solid background in fund administration and reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Transaction Processing

Perform detailed daily, monthly, and quarterly reconciliations for fund accounts, including cash and securities.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies in fund balances, identifying the root cause and working with relevant stakeholders to resolve issues.

Ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded, including trades, income, distributions, fees, and other fund-related activities.

Coordinate with custodians, administrators, and banks to ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of all fund transactions.

2. Reporting

Generate and review fund performance reports, financial statements, and reconciled account summaries for internal and external stakeholders

Prepare reports on outstanding or unresolved reconciliation items and work with appropriate teams to resolve them

Ensuring that Team Leader/Manager is informed of any recon items and outstanding issues

Escalating any urgent issues to Team Leader/Manager.

3. Compliance & Regulatory Adherence

Maintain full compliance with internal policies, procedures, Client SLAs, and control frameworks.

Ensure adherence to operational controls and audit requirements, maintaining evidence and audit trails.

Support internal and external audit processes with reconciliation-related documentation and responses.

Identify potential risk areas in day-to-day operations and elevate them to management for further assessment.

4. Stakeholder Collaboration & Investor Relations

Act as the primary liaison between internal teams to ensure alignment.

Build strong relationships across departments and contribute to a seamless reconciliation process.

Work closely with risk, compliance, legal, and investment teams to mitigate operational risks and maintain process integrity.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Act as a subject matter expert for reconciliation and EFT-related queries, providing support and insight as needed

5. Process Improvement & Ad-Hoc Tasks

Continuously assess and improve reconciliation and EFT processes to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.

Ensure process documentation is up to date and filed correctly and is easily retrievable.

Support and guide newer team members through training and mentorship, and act as a backup resource when required.

Develop and implement best practices for fund reconciliation and ensure alignment with industry standards and regulations.

Assist with ad-hoc requests from clients and management.
