job purposeto administer nsfas/funza lushaka funding and ensure that funds are administered according to department of basic education (dbe) policy and institutional policies and procedures.
job knowledge, skills and experience- matric (senior certificate)
- two years administrative experience in the administration of financial aid
- strong knowledge of financial aid policies and procedures
- knowledge of its
- required to work overtime during peak times or as and when required
- a national diploma in business studies or an equivalent relevant 3-year qualification
- to administer nsfas/funza lushaka funding and ensure that funds are administered according to the department of basic education (dbe) policy and institutional policies and procedures
- administration of funza lushaka funding and other bursaries
- perform assessment on the funza lushaka applicants in line with nsfas / dbe policies
- assisting students with financial aid to register (financial clearance)
- ensuring that records are kept up to date and accurately filed for quick reference and audit purposes.
- extracting data, compiling and processing nsfas funding and perform assessments.
- crediting of student's fee account and reconciliations
- participate in orientation and open day sessions.
- assess and verify private accommodation applicants
- processing of allowances to the students
- confirming validity and integrity of documentsprovide support to senior financial aid officers
- liaise with donors, staff, students, and other stakeholders.
- general administrative duties which include filling, maintaining filling system, and any tasks related to the operations of the office (ad hoc)
- any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the line manag
- good communication skills (verbal and written)

- computer literacy (applied knowledge of its, outlook, excel and word).
