Treasury Analyst job vacancy in Pinelands, Cape Town.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the organisation’s Treasury and Asset & Liability Management (ALM) functions through accurate reporting, analysis, and financial modelling.
- Prepare periodic reporting for shareholders, banks, institutional funders, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain funding dashboards and financial models covering liquidity and interest rate gap analysis.
- Prepare and coordinate monthly Treasury Forum packs, including variance analysis of budget versus actual performance.
- Assist with funding, liquidity, maturity, and rollover activities, as well as credit reviews with banks and rating agencies.
- Ensure KYB compliance for financial institutions, including onboarding and recertification processes.
- Assist with regulatory and internal policy compliance, audits, and various internal reporting requirements.
- Support the preparation of ALCO packs, board presentations, investor information, and other stakeholder communications.
- Maintain the Investor Relations website and ensure SENS announcements and relevant documentation are managed accurately.
- Provide general analytical and administrative support across the ALM and Treasury function as required.
Requirements:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Honours degree or completion of 3-year SAICA articles.
- 3–5 years’ relevant experience, preferably within financial services.
- Previous experience in a corporate banking or treasury environment.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Knowledge of banking compliance will be advantageous.
- People management experience will be advantageous.
- Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and financial modelling skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to engage confidently at all levels.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
- Adaptable, solution-oriented, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
