Tax Consultant

We are looking for a strong Tax Consultant to join a dynamic environment where you will work closely with senior guidance while managing a wide range of tax and payroll responsibilities.

• Monthly VAT (VAT
  201) and EMP
  201 submissions, reviews, and reconciliations
• SARS registrations, verifications, and deregistrations (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax)
• EMP
  501 bi-annual and annual submissions, including validations
• Payroll processing (weekly, monthly, bi-monthly) and payroll structuring support
• Individual tax returns (resident, non-resident, beneficiaries of trusts, provisional tax)
• Company tax returns (annual returns, provisional tax, DTR
  01 & DTR
  02, including resolutions)
• Trust tax returns (annual and provisional, including IT3T submissions)
• Maintenance and integration of ISV systems via eFiling & BSharp
• Processing additional SARS payments (EMPSA, VATSA, ITSA, DTRSA) as required
• TCS applications and proactive follow-ups (with a focus on issuing reminders before clients request them)
• Disputes, objections (NOO), remission requests, SARS queries, and tax research for review
• Payroll journals and clearing accounts (SAGE Business Cloud & Xero integrations already in place)

• Registered with SAIT
• Minimum of 3 years' tax experience within an accounting and tax firm
• Relevant postgraduate qualification in Taxation
• Honours or postgraduate qualification (advantageous)
• Based in Cape Town
