Tax Compliance Officer

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Tax Compliance Officer to join our client's growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a solid understanding of South African tax legislation who takes pride in delivering accurate work, maintaining compliance, and providing exceptional service to clients. You will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of tax matters while working closely with clients, colleagues, and SARS to ensure all compliance obligations are met efficiently and on time.

• Manage the full income tax and provisional tax compliance process for a portfolio of clients.
• Administer tax compliance for individuals, companies, trusts, and deceased estates.
• Prepare and submit SARS registrations, deregistrations, tax directives, and debt arrangement applications.
• Process Tax Compliance Status (TCS) Pin applications and Approval for International Transfer (AIT) applications.
• Resolve SARS eFiling queries and maintain accurate taxpayer profiles.
• Prepare, submit, and monitor SARS applications, objections, and supporting documentation.
• Liaise with SARS to resolve client queries and compliance matters efficiently.
• Maintain accurate client records and ensure tax portfolios remain compliant with legislative deadlines.
• Provide professional tax compliance support to clients and internal team members.
• Stay up to date with changes in South African tax legislation and SARS processes.

• Relevant qualification in Taxation, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-3 years' experience in a tax compliance environment.
• Strong knowledge of South African tax legislation and SARS eFiling.
• Experience working with Great Soft will be advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.
• Professional, client-focused approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
