Competitive, R18,000 – R25,000 per month (depending on experience) + performance incentives and tips

About UsWe have 3 charming boutique guesthouses (5 rooms, 3 rooms and 2 rooms) in the heart of Cape Town, offering personalized, high-end hospitality to local and international guests. Nestled in 3 prime location with stunning views, we pride ourselves on exceptional guest experiences, attention to detail, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
The RoleWe are seeking a dynamic, hands-on Guest House Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and ensure our guests enjoy an unforgettable stay. You will be the face of the properties, leading a small team while managing all aspects of guest services, operations, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Manage guest check-ins/check-outs, reservations (via booking systems like Nights Bridge, , or similar), and daily occupancy
- Deliver outstanding guest experiences: handle inquiries, special requests, complaints, and service recovery with professionalism
- Oversee housekeeping standards, room readiness, cleanliness of common areas, and maintenance coordination
- Supervise and train a small team (mostly housekeeping) to maintain high service levels
- Handle administrative tasks: stock control, supplier coordination, invoicing, reporting, and basic financial oversight
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and tourism regulations
- Promote the guesthouse through guest feedback, online reviews, and social media engagement
- Proven experience as a Guest House Manager, Front-of-House Manager, or similar role in hospitality (minimum 3–5 years preferred)
- Strong guest service orientation with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of reservation systems, MS Office, and basic accounting
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport
- South African citizen or valid work permit
- Passion for Cape Town tourism and creating memorable guest experiences
