Bar Manager

Our client is seeking an energetic and experienced Bar Manager to oversee the operations of a popular bar and lounge in Upington . This role is responsible for managing staff, inventory, customer service, and ensuring a vibrant and safe atmosphere for patrons. You will be instrumental in developing cocktail menus, managing beverage costs, and creating an exceptional experience for guests. The ideal candidate has a passion for mixology, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage a high-volume bar.

• Manage daily bar operations, including opening and closing procedures, staff supervision, and customer service.
• Develop creative and appealing cocktail menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients and trends.
• Manage beverage inventory, place orders, control stock levels, and minimize wastage.
• Ensure adherence to all licensing laws, health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Train and mentor bar staff on mixology, service standards, and product knowledge.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any complaints promptly and professionally.

• Proven experience as a Bar Manager or Assistant Bar Manager.
• Strong knowledge of mixology, wine, and spirits.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with inventory management and cost control.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
