Comms Centre Agent; Reservations

Every memorable stay starts with a reservation handled with care, accuracy and exceptional service. At The President Hotel, we’re looking for an experienced Comms Agent (Reservations) to help create a seamless guest journey from the first enquiry. As we continue our journey toward luxury, you’ll play an important role in ensuring accurate bookings and professional guest service within our busy 349‑room hotel.

• Grade 12
• Minimum 2 years’ dedicated reservations experience within a large, high-volume city hotel.
• Strong practical experience using OPERA PMS is essential.
• Experience managing bookings, amendments and cancellations across direct and online channels.
• Understanding of room types, rates, packages, availability and basic revenue management.
• Excellent telephone, email and administrative skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple enquiries and work independently during late and overnight shifts.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts: 07h00–16h00, 14h00–23h00 and 23h00–08h00, including weekends and public holidays.
• Reliable transport, particularly for late and overnight shifts.
• South African  an updated CV with contactable references.

• Processing reservations, amendments and cancellations accurately on OPERA PMS.
• Responding promptly and professionally to telephone, email and online enquiries.
• Capturing guest details, rates, packages and special requests correctly.
• Monitoring availability and following hotel procedures and rate strategies.
• Upselling room categories, packages and hotel services where appropriate.
• Resolving booking queries and coordinating guest requirements with relevant departments.
• Maintaining accurate records and consistent service standards across all shifts.
