Red Ember Recruitment is seeking to appoint an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) on behalf of our client, based in Plattekloof .
The HRBP will partner closely with line management to deliver effective, business-aligned HR solutions that support operational and strategic objectives. The role has a strong focus on employee relations, talent and performance management, legislative compliance, and actively embedding organisational culture across operations in the Western Cape .
HR Business Partnering- Act as a strategic HR partner to management and operations.
- Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Support organisational change and workforce planning initiatives.
- Manage disciplinary processes, grievances, incapacity, and poor performance cases.
- Engage with unions where applicable and represent the business at CCMA proceedings.
- Ensure consistent and fair application of labour legislation.
- Monitor turnover and implement retention strategies.
- Support talent reviews, succession planning, and development initiatives.
- Partner with management to identify high‑potential employees.
- Support recruitment processes aligned with operational requirements.
- Ensure effective onboarding and probation management.
- Partner with line managers to ensure role clarity and workforce readiness.
- Ensure performance management systems are implemented and maintained.
- Support managers with goal setting, performance reviews, and corrective action.
- Drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Compile and submit monthly and quarterly HR reports.
- Analyse HR metrics including turnover, absenteeism, and disciplinary trends.
- Provide insights and recommendations to management.
- Embed company values and culture across operations.
- Drive employee engagement and recognition initiatives.
- Support wellness and culture‑building activities.
- Ensure compliance with labour legislation and internal policies.
- Oversee Injuries on Duty (IOD) and COID processes.
- Maintain accurate HR records and documentation.
- Support HR projects and initiatives as required.
- Assist with audits and compliance reviews.
- Relevant HR qualification (Diploma or Degree).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior HR Generalist or HR Business Partner role.
- Proven experience dealing with CCMA cases, industrial relations, and union engagement.
- Demonstrated experience in disciplinary hearings, incapacity processes, and retrenchments.
- Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and reporting capability.
- Ability to operate independently in a fast‑paced, operational environment.
