ARTICLE CLERK (Right of Appearance)

A legal practice based in Paarl is seeking to appoint a motivated Article Clerk with Right of Appearance to join their team.

This role offers a valuable opportunity for a candidate looking to gain practical exposure within a busy legal environment and develop their professional legal skills.
The successful candidate will assist with a range of legal and administrative tasks while supporting attorneys with matters across the practice.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting attorneys with legal research and case preparation

Drafting basic legal documents, correspondence, and court papers

Attending to court appearances where applicable

Liaising with clients, courts, and other stakeholders

General administrative and file management duties

Minimum requirements:

Completed LLB

Right of Appearance in the Magistrates’ Court

Previous exposure to a legal practice environment will be advantageous

Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
