Warehouse and Dispatch Manager

Our Client in the Wholesale and Distribution Industry is seeking to employ a Warehouse and Dispatch Manager to their team based in Goodwood, Cape Town.

Previous experience in warehouse management, logistics, or distribution is essential

Requirements:

• Grade 12

• Previous experience in warehouse management, logistics, or distribution

• Proven leadership and staff management skills

• Strong organizational and administrative abilities

• Self-motivated, energetic, and proactive

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Problem-solving ability and capacity to work under pressure

• Basic computer proficiency advantageous

• Forklift operator certification – advantageous

• First-aid and firefighting competency – advantageous

• Friendly and professional disposition for customer interactions

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

• Logistics and Dispatch:
  Coordinating outgoing shipments, organizing transportation, and ensuring on-time delivery.
• Inventory Management:
  Maintaining high stock accuracy, conducting audits, and controlling inventory levels.
• Staff Management:
  Recruiting, training, supervising, and mentoring warehouse personnel.
• Safety and Compliance:
  Enforcing Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) protocols and maintaining a secure, clean warehouse environment.
• Building and yard:
  Maintain a clean and safe yard and oversees any building maintenance requirements.
• Performance Tracking:
  Continually improve warehouse productivity and cleanliness, while managing costs.
• Advise the branch director on ways to improve efficiency and customer-satisfaction levels.
