A reputable and established Assurance, Accounting and Consulting firm in Bellville is seeking to employ an ambitious Audit Manager. This opportunity is ideal for an audit professional who is committed to a long-term career in audit, with prospects to grow into a director or partner role.

The ideal candidate must be a CA(SA), eligible to register as a CA(SA), or nearing completion of CA(SA) with a strong ambition to register as a Registered Auditor. AGA(SA) candidates enroute to full qualification with significant experience and ambition may also be considered.

The firm focuses on small and medium-sized businesses and provides services across the Western and Southern Cape. The directors are Chartered Accountants and Registered Auditors with IRBA.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Produce client reports (AFS, Minutes, Certificates, Management letters, etc.)
  • Propose and finalise audit opinions
  • Plan and manage audit assignment budgets
  • Monitor and evaluate performance against budget
  • Conduct full audit file reviews and prepare related reports for sign-off
  • Review tax returns
  • Manage staff resourcing and scheduling for audit engagements
  • Allocate work according to audit assignment needs
  • Ensure completion of audit planning documentation
  • Approve timesheets
  • Perform billings and manage WIP
  • Manage staff performance and provide continuous feedback
  • Provide technical assistance to staff
  • Maintain excellent client relationships

Qualifications and Experience:

  • CA(SA), eligible, or nearing completion
  • 1+ years post-articles experience
  • Supervisory or management experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS for SMEs, IFRS, ISA, and taxation
  • Experience with Case Ware
