Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team in Cape Town. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities for our water and waste management facilities, ensuring they are operating at optimal levels and in compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules for all equipment and facilities.

- Manage a team of maintenance technicians and ensure they are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.

- Monitor and maintain inventory levels for spare parts and equipment.

- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks to identify and address any potential issues.

- Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to operations.

- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.

- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers for maintenance-related services and supplies.

- Prepare and manage maintenance budgets and track expenses.

- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report on performance metrics.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance management role, preferably in the water or waste management industry.

- Strong knowledge of maintenance best practices and techniques.

- Experience managing a team and developing maintenance plans and schedules.

- Excellent communication and leadership skills.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance management software.
