Job Description
  • Roles and Responsibilities
  • Develop, compile, submit, and present high-quality local and international CSI and grant funding proposals aligned to organisational strategy.
  • Manage the full grant lifecycle including prospecting, applications, compliance, reporting, acquittals, renewals, and donor stewardship.
  • Design and implement donor acquisition, retention, and reactivation strategies across trusts, foundations, corporates, and individuals. Build and manage high-value donor, trust, legacy, and bequest portfolios.
  • Oversee fundraising initiatives linked to CSI and grants, including campaigns, digital fundraising, website content, and online auctions.
  • Provide strategic oversight of the CRM system, ensuring accurate donor data, reporting, segmentation, and POPIA compliance.
  • Develop and manage grant, CSI, and donor pipelines, dashboards, and performance reports.
  • Contribute to fundraising strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with donor agreements, governance standards, and financial controls.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to donor relations staff and contribute to a high-performing team culture.
  • Represent St Luke’s Combined Hospices professionally with donors, corporates, foundations, and key stakeholders.
Qualifications And Requirements
  • 3 year Degree in Marketing/Public Relations/ Human Sciences/ Business Administration or related field. 6–10 years’ combined experience in a non-profit fundraising environment.
  • Proven experience in proposal writing, donor relations, and revenue generation.
  • Strong project management and administrative abilities.
  • Advanced computer literacy. (MS Office Suite, including MS Project and database management).
  • Established donor or funding network will be advantageous. Valid, unendorsed driver’s licence
