Designation: ICV Desk Coordinator (could be one or a team of 2 or 3 persons)

Objectives: To develop, sustain and promote the activities of ICV in South Africa

Responsibilities:

Work in collaboration with the ICV headquarter in Geneva and the Volunteer Centre in Cape Town

Participate in establishing the strategic plan for the next six months

Define target organizations (University, Interpretation Schools...) and promote ICV activities to them

Identify the need for volunteers to participate in non-profit conferences in Cape Town

Expand the network

Assist in recruiting, selecting, and coordinating volunteers for the programmes in conjunction with the Volunteer Centre

Follow up on projects set up in South Africa (Conferences, Cyber Volunteers Programme...)

Assist in fundraising

Profile and skills:

At ease with networking and relationship-building

Good communication, public speaking, and presentation abilities

Fluency in English (oral and written)

Sense of initiative and ability to work autonomously

Knowledge in the field of volunteerism

Ability to operate a computer and use the Internet

ICVolunteers promotes volunteerism and its recognition by enhancing civic commitment and involvement, and by providing leadership and links between organizations, individuals, and communities. With this perspective, ICVolunteers develops projects and leads initiatives.
