We are recruiting on behalf of a leading technology solutions provider for an experienced Commodities Account Manager to join their Cape Town team. This role is ideal for a commercially driven sales professional who enjoys managing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and owning the sales process end to end.

What You’ll Be Doing


Account & Relationship Management
  • Act as the primary point of contact for allocated customers
  • Grow and maintain long-term customer relationships
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date account plans
Sales & Business Development
  • Identify, canvass and secure new business opportunities
  • Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline
  • Own the full sales cycle — from opportunity identification to quoting and deal closure
  • Respond to leads, referrals and sales enquiries in a timely manner
Customer & Internal Collaboration
  • Work with customers to understand current and future needs, while constructively challenging the status quo
  • Align internal specialist resources to opportunities and drive them to completion
  • Collaborate with sales teams and business units across the organisation
  • Liaise with technical and support teams on solution requirement
Operational & Vendor Engagement
  • Prepare accurate quotes and proposals
  • Ensure internal documentation is completed correctly to enable billing and invoicing
  • Understand and follow vendor processes, including deal registrations and pricing enquiries
  • Monitor, report and forecast on pipeline opportunities and sales activity
