Our client, a well-established logistics and courier services provider, is seeking a driven and results-oriented Logistics Business Development Consultant to grow new business and expand market presence across South Africa. This role is ideal for a confident sales professional with strong industry knowledge and a passion for building long-term client relationships.
Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within the logistics and courier market
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
Conduct client needs analysis and present tailored logistics solutions
Prepare detailed cost analyses, quotations, and proposal reports
Deliver professional sales presentations and product demonstrations
Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to onboarding
Maintain accurate CRM, pipeline, and sales reporting
Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments
Proven successful track record in new business sales (or strong demonstrated ability to sell)
Previous experience within the logistics and/or courier industry
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
Strong customer-focused approach with excellent relationship-building ability
Natural people person with high levels of initiative and drive
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including quotation and report creation
Passion, energy, ambition, and clear potential for growth within the business
Solid geographical knowledge of South Africa
Valid drivers license and own reliable vehicle (sales image essential)
Well-groomed and professional appearance
Strong PC skills:
Email, MS Word, Excel, and Power PointExperience with logistics platforms (advantageous)
