Technical Agronomist

A chemical manufacturer of natural growth stimulants for the agricultural sector is seeking a Technical Agronomist to join their team in Cape Town. This position will support the development, execution, and interpretation of agronomic trials that enhance product performance, generate scientific insight, and inform marketing and commercial strategies. The role involves close collaboration with clients, research partners and internal teams to ensure high-quality data generation and technical service delivery.

Key Requirements: MSc or PhD in Agriculture, Plant Science, Plant Pathology, Plant Breeding, or a related field with 3–5 years of experience in agronomic research or a technical role within the agricultural sector. Experience designing and conducting agricultural trials and ability to use statistical analysis tools essential. AVCASA in Crop Protection and/or BASOS/FERTASA certification will be beneficial. Valid driver’s license and a willingness to travel regularly for work.
