12 Month Fixed-Term Contract - Monthly Paid

We are recruiting a Sustainability Graduate Intern to support the Group Sustainability Specialist in implementing, monitoring and reporting on the Group’s 'living green' sustainability strategy across Head Office and the hotels, while gaining structured, practical workplace experience in environmental management.

• Capture and report environmental data accurately and on time
• Prepare water reports for review and submission
• Gather evidence for Fair Trade Tourism recertification
• Arrange hazardous waste and recycling collections and maintain records
• Support Green Teams, training, community events and environmental communication
• Maintain sustainability and garden records and calendar

• A completed Diploma or Degree (NQF 6–7) in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Sustainability, Conservation or a related field, from an accredited South African educational institution
• No prior work experience required
• South African citizen
• Satisfactory criminal record, subject to assessment of nature, severity, relevance, and recency of any offence

• MS 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) - intermediate level
• Data capture and basic data analysis, e.g. tracking water, energy and waste
• Report on writing and presentation skills
• Basic knowledge of South African environmental legislation, e.g. the National Environmental Management Act and the Waste Act
• An understanding of sustainability concepts, e.g. carbon footprint and waste separation
• Good written and spoken communication in English

Preference will be given to Employment Equity candidates in line with the Company’s transformation objectives in the Employment Equity Plan.

Please note that this is a fixed-term contract position for the period 01 November 2026 to 01 November 2027, and employment will automatically terminate on the contract end date.
