Our client is seeking an Semi-Skilled Mechanical Fitter that will be based at the Phillipi, Cape Town branch.
- Assist with routine servicing and maintenance of plant, and equipment
- Conduct fault-finding and diagnostics using basic tools and equipment
- Inspect equipment for wear, defects, and safety issues
- Assist with breakdown repairs and emergency call-outs when required
- Maintain accurate job cards, service records, and maintenance reports
- Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are kept clean and safe
- Comply with company policies, safety standards, and OHSA regulations
- Work collaboratively with senior Fitters and workshop staff
- N2–N3 Mechanical Engineering or Fitter related qualification
- Minimum 2–4 years’ experience working with mechanical equipment
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, and components
- Experience with conveyors and shredders
- Experience with steel processing plant equipment, trucks and excavators advantages
