Senior Artisan Construction (Re-advertisement)

• Trade Test Construction Plumbing Certificate.
• NTC 3 Trade Theory will be an added advantage.
• 3-5 years post apprenticeship experience in Water & Sanitation environment.
• Computer literacy.
• Valid Code 8 B/EB driver’s licence.
• Sound knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, No 85.
• Availability and willingness to work in all weather conditions, work outside normal working hours during emergencies and planned overtime / standby duties.
• Physically fit and able-bodied.

• Fault finding and analysing of plumbing repairs and servicing thereof.
• Repairing and constructing of domestic and industrial mains sections; measuring; developments and sketching of structures, pipe sections; adaptors and associated components as well as interpret drawings.
• Manage workflow via SAP and preparing of Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Ensure compliance to OHSACT requirements and related safety controls such as work permits, lock out procedures, etc.
• Supervising junior staff in performance and execution of work assigned to them to ensure work is done timeously and correctly.
• Identifying staff skills gap and activate training needs aimed at closing the gaps and capacitating individuals.
• Addressing workplace conflict / misconduct.
