Three-Phase Wireman Solar Electrician

Introduction

We are looking for a hands‑on, highly experienced 3-Phase Solar Wireman Electrician to join our Cape Town-based team. This is a technically skilled professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is passionate about renewable energy and electrical excellence.

This role is ideal for someone with strong fault‑finding skills, in-depth experience with 3‑phase and solar systems, and the confidence to lead projects from start to finish while maintaining outstanding communication with all stakeholders.

• Electrical Design Review
• Standards Compliance
• Site Assessment and Integration
• Safety and Regulatory Planning
• Carry out the on‑site electrical installation of all solar components.
• Wiring and Connections
• Installation of Protection Devices
• Earthing and Bonding
• Safety During Installation
• Ensure compliance with Construction Regulations for the job site
• Team Supervision & Training:
  Lead and coordinate the installation crew (junior electricians, technicians, and laborers) - beneficial
• Quality Control:
  Continuously inspect and test during installation.
• Compliance Checks
• Certificate of Compliance (CoC) Issuance
• Client Handover

Required:

• South African citizen – Must hold a valid South African .
• Registered Three-Phase Wireman – Valid Wireman’s License (registered as an Installation Electrician or general Wireman).
• Solar PV Experience – At least 2 years of hands‑on experience working on solar PV projects (with commercial/industrial‑scale installations preferred).
• Communication Skills – Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with proven experience dealing directly with clients and project stakeholders.

Preferred (Advantageous):

• Battery Storage Experience – Familiarity with battery storage systems (e.g. installing or integrating battery backups alongside solar PV installations).
• Additional Certifications – Relevant industry certifications such as a PV Green Card or manufacturer‑specific inverter training (highly advantageous).
