We are seeking a Qualified Electrician to join a large FMCG concern based in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime in a high-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine electrical maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs on production machinery and equipment.
Ensure all electrical systems comply with relevant safety and industry regulations.
Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize breakdowns and improve operational efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in a time-sensitive manner to maintain production flow.
Collaborate with the maintenance team to execute planned shutdowns and upgrades.
Maintain accurate documentation and records of maintenance work and repairs.
Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
Provide technical support and guidance to production teams regarding electrical matters.

Requirements:

Qualified Electrician with a valid trade certificate.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of electrical systems, PLCs, VSDs, and industrial automation.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
Experience with troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Candidates with their own reliable vehicle will be preferable.
